Emma was born and raised in Sydney, Australia; the daughter of Director of Photography, Peter Menzies Jr., and Producer, Denise Heffley Menzies. She grew up trick-or-treating at craft services tables and finishing her homework in makeup trailers and camera trucks.
In May, 2016 Emma graduated with honors (nerd alert) from USC School of Cinematic Arts with a major in Film & Television Production and a minor in Screenwriting. Emma was the first USC undergraduate to commercially sell a student project after cold-calling the manager of Roc Nation band, DOROTHY, with a treatment for their song “Raise Hell." Emma went on to direct the official music video.
Post-graduation Emma worked as a creative assistant at London Alley for a year. She currently resides in Los Angeles working as a director and freelance treatment writer with her rescue dog Bowie, and her street cat Binx by her side.
In her free time Emma enjoys wine, lipstick, wine, coffee, thrifting, wine and lip syncing aggressively to Taylor Swift songs.
